In a conversation moderated by Kate Nocera, DC Bureau Chief for Buzzfeed News and a current GU Politics Fellow, the left and right political perspectives came together to analyze President Trump’s impeachment. With two articles voted on and passed by the House, it is the Senate’s responsibility to come to an ultimate decision. Nadeam Elshami, Former Chief of Staff to Speaker Pelosi, and Antonia Ferrier, Former Staff Director at the Senate Republican Communications Center, discussed the processes and politics at play, both publicly and behind the scenes of Congress, on the partisan fight between the executive and legislative branches of government.
The event was co-sponsored by the Georgetown Bipartisan Coalition, College Republicans, and College Democrats.
