Title: GU Politics welcomes three new Advisory Board members

GU Politics is thrilled to announce three new members joining our Advisory Board, all of whom have been closely involved with the Institute, including two former GU Politics Fellows. Tony Sayegh (Spring ’17 Fellow), Goli Sheikholeslami (SFS ’89), and Craig Minassian (Fall ’23 Fellow) will join a board of public servants, political operatives and leaders in politics, media and government affairs to advise GU Politics programming and grow the Institute’s visibility in the greater DC community.

Meet our new Advisory Board members!

Craig Minassian

Craig Minassian currently serves as chief content, communications and marketing officer for the Clinton Foundation, including the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), and as a spokesperson for former President Bill Clinton.  Previously, Craig served as White House assistant press secretary & director of television news for President Clinton, on numerous presidential and national advocacy campaigns, as well as a senior advisor for the Democratic National Conventions in 2008 and 2012.  Craig spent a significant portion of his career at HBO and as a consultant and producer for networks including Comedy Central, MTV, ABC and ESPN. He also worked for World Cup USA in 1994 and, in 2006, launched Minassian Media which serves the content and communications needs of clients in global health, technology, media,  and philanthropy. Craig was a Fall 2023 GU Politics Fellow.

Tony Sayegh

Tony Sayegh is a leading figure in public affairs, strategic communications and political commentary. He is currently a Managing Director at Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm based in New York City. He twice served in the Administration of President Donald J. Trump. Most recently Tony advised the President during the House impeachment inquiry as White House Senior Advisor for Strategy and Spokesperson for the President on the matter. Tony was a Spring 2017 GU Politics Fellow.

Goli Sheikholeslami

Goli Sheikholeslami is the Chief Executive Officer of the POLITICO Media Group, which includes POLITICO’s global footprint in North America and Europe. Previously, Sheikholeslami was President & CEO of New York Public Radio (NYPR)—the largest public radio organization in the country, a leading national podcast producer, and an essential source for trustworthy local news and classical music for New Yorkers. Sheikholeslami has held senior leadership roles across public and private media over her extensive 25-year career, helping both legacy institutions and new players grow and
thrive.
