Richard Walters
Former RNC Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor; Executive Director, Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee
Richard Walters is a Partner at FGS Global.Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of the Trump- Vance Inaugural Committee, board member of the Trump-Vance Transition, and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Prior to those roles, he served as one of the senior executives in charge of the 2024 Republican National Convention, overseeing the planning and execution of the convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Before his role as Senior Advisor, Walters served as the Chief of Staff for the Republican National Committee, where he was responsible for building and managing a national political operation.
Before becoming Chief of Staff, he served as National Finance Director and managed a team of 70, responsible for record breaking fundraising.
He began his career on the campaign of Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi before later moving to Boston to work for Governor Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign.
Walters grew up in a small town in Mississippi and attended the University of Mississippi majoring in Public Policy and Leadership where he was a Lott Scholar. He later pursued a master’s degree in Education Policy and Social Analysis at Teacher’s College at Columbia University. He currently serves on the board of the National Park Foundation and the Committee for the Preservation of the White House.
