Katie Packer
Former Deputy Campaign Manager, Romney-Ryan 2012 - Spring '16 Fellow
Katie Packer is a Partner at two political consulting firms: WWP Strategies which handles political campaigns and issue management; and Burning Glass Consulting, a first of its kind, all-female Republican consulting firm, specializing in messaging to women.
In 1998, Katie began working on political campaigns at college and in her home state of Michigan and has since managed campaigns at every level from state legislature and Governor to U.S. Senate and Presidential. In 2012 she was the Deputy Campaign Manager of Governor Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign.
In 2008 Katie started the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) a 501 c6 organization dedicated to grassroots education and mobilization on workplace fairness issues. WFI succeeded in mobilizing opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act (card check) WFI continues to be a leading voice in opposing Big Labor’s agenda in workplace matters and Katie plays an active role.
Katie is an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University’s Graduate School for Political Management, located in Washington, DC.
She can be frequently seen/heard offering political opinion on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and NPR.
Katie is a graduate of Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
