WHAT: As policymakers grapple with the challenges presented by a global health crisis, the Institute of Politics and Public Service at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy (GU Politics) will be joined by U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Tuesday, April 28, for a conversation on American Leadership During Times of Crisis.
Drawing upon lessons from his long career as a business leader, Massachusetts Governor, presidential candidate, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympics in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, Senator Romney will share his thoughts on what policymakers should do to navigate the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as his unique perspective on how to effectively restore trust and build community during times of crisis.
Moderated by GU Politics Executive Director Mo Elleithee, and featuring live Q&A with students from across the country, this GU Politics Virtual Forum conversation with Senator Romney will take place on Tuesday, April 28 at 5:00 PM (EDT).
