On February 16th, 2018, GU Politics hosted Robby Mook and Matt Rhoades for a conversation on cybersecurity and digital democracy.
Robby Mook and Matt Rhoades came to Georgetown to share their new Cybersecurity Campaign Playbook. The discussion looked at recent events, including Russian hacking of the RNC and DNC, and why they believed this issue to be a bipartisan one. They presented on the tools, best practices, and other safeguards that will be vital to future campaigns and the democratic process, which the Cybersecurity Campaign Playbook provides. The event concluded with a question and answer session for students.
Robby Mook served as Campaign Manager for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. Matt Rhoades served as the Campaign Manager for Governor Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.
