Tarun Heran is the 2022-2023 Communications Co-Chair on the GUPolitics’ Student Advisory Board. She is currently studying for her Master in Public Policy at the McCourt School of Public Policy. Originally from the United Kingdom, Tarun moved to DC last year, having previously studied Law at University College London. Having been to many GUPolitics events in her first year at McCourt, Tarun is excited to join the team at GUPolitics and hopes to use her time here to expand the number of graduate students getting involved.

Outside of GUPolitics, Tarun is the current Treasurer of the Georgetown Public Policy Review (GPPR), McCourt’s nonpartisan, student-run academic journal. She previously served on GPPR’s Business team, as the Communications Director for the Georgetown Technology Policy Initiative and as the Fundraising Chair for the Student Pro Bono Committee at UCL Laws. Tarun has worked as a Communications Intern for the Signal Group, and as a Teaching Assistant at UCL Laws. In her (limited) free time, Tarun enjoys hiking, traveling and hanging out on the porch at Old North!
