Political Pageturners: Jill Lawrence
On March 20th, 2017, GU Politics hosted journalist Jill Lawrence for the inaugural Political Pageturners event.
The first in the Political Pageturners event series, we were joined by Jill Lawrence, Commentary Editor and Columnist for USA Today. Lawrence discussed with students her new book, The Art of the Political Deal: How Congress Beat the Odds and Broke Through Gridlock. The discussion was a timely look at four occasions when lawmakers were able to successfully break the Washington gridlock. This event was co-sponsored with the Baker Center for Leadership & Governance.
