On January 20th, 2016, GU politics hosted a panel of mayors across the country for a discussion on urban economics.
Moderated by former Jacksonville Mayor & Spring GU Politics Fellow, Alvin Brown, and Georgetown Public Policy Review Editor-in-Chief, Erin Mullally, this panel included mayors Muriel Bowser, Washington, DC; Mick Cornett, Oklahoma City, OK; Sly James, Kansas City, MO; Nan Whaley, Dayton, OH.
The mayors discussed lessons learned, successes, and failures in creating equitable economic development. The U.S. Conference of Mayors helped organize this event.
