Sanjay Gospodinov (MSB '23)
Student Experience Co-Chair
Sanjay Gospodinov is a soon-to-be consultant and the 2022-23 Student Experience Co-Chair on GUPolitics’ Student Advisory Board. He is a beltway Libertarian, having grown up in the suburbs of D.C. and always disagreeing in some way with those around him. He is a senior in the McDonough School of Business majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics and Government. He is actually relatively new to GU Politics, bringing a fresh perspective from leadership roles in the business school. At GUPolitics, Sanjay hopes to improve the student experience by working with the other Co-Chairs on new initiatives, creating a real community within the organization, and implementing the lessons he’s learned from the business side of campus.
Outside of GUPolitics, Sanjay worked this summer as a summer associate with BCG, where he will be returning full time next fall. He has also previously worked for a number of different hedge funds, private equity firms, and venture capital firms including MCJ Capital Partners, Oaktree Capital, OzoneX Ventures and Five Elms Capital. He also interned for a Fintech startup, the strategy group of General Dynamics, the third largest defense firm in the world, and for the House of Representatives. He also built a large, elite Georgetown finance club from the ground up as the Co-Founder and CEO of Georgetown Student Capital Partners, Georgetown’s private equity and venture capital advisory group. He was also a board member of and now a senior advisor to the Georgetown Bipartisan Coalition. He additionally serves as a senior advisor to Georgetown Fintech, a student advisor to the Psaros Center for Financial Markets and Policy, and is an internal consultant with Georgetown’s internal consulting group. He also been published in the Caravel and worked as an analyst at the Georgetown University Student Investment Fund. In his free time, you can find Sanjay exploring D.C., debating politics and losing money on short term options.
