Tommy Tietjen (SFS '25)
Events Co-Chair
Thomas “Tommy” Tietjen is the 2022-23 Events Co-Chair on GUPolitics’ Student Advisory Board. A sophomore in the School of Foreign Service originally from Leawood, Kansas, he intends to major in International Politics with a concentration in International Security and a certificate in International Business Diplomacy. Before becoming Events Co-Chair, Tommy was a member of Charlotte Clymer’s student strategy team. Tommy looks forward to connecting Georgetown students with the Institute’s unmatched access to the D.C. political world through relevant, engaging, and enlightening programs and initiatives.
Outside of GU Politics, Tommy is also involved with Catholic Ministry and is a member of Georgetown TAMID Group, Georgetown University Space Initiative, and Georgetown University College Republicans. He previously interned for the office of U.S. Senator Jerry Moran and Meta Aerospace. For fun, Tommy enjoys training for and competing in Ironman 70.3 triathlons, keeping up with everything aerospace and listening to Chris Stapleton music.
