Alicia Gopal (COL '25)
Communications Co-Chair
Alicia Gopal is the 2022-2023 Communications Co-Chair on GUPolitics’ Student Advisory Board. She is currently a Connecticut resident missing her childhood home in the Bay Area, California. She is a sophomore in the College planning to study political economy and considering minors in statistics, environmental studies, and journalism. In the realm of GUPolitics, Alicia can be found assisting with event logistics as a member of the advance team or attending fellows discussion groups. She is committed to making the GUPolitics environment supportive of, and productive, for students who are interested in politics and public service but are still exploring many career paths.
As one of those students, Alicia has worked for a small public relations and communications firm, as well as a polling and political strategy firm. She is currently an intern in the office of Congressman Chris Pappas. On campus, Alicia is a member of the Georgetown cheerleading team and on the cabinet of the Delta Phi Epsilon Foreign Service Sorority. She can often be found practicing taekwondo, playing spikeball, and trying to teach herself how to play the guitar.
