In a conversation moderated by Professor E.J. Dionne, Jr. of the McCourt School of Public Policy, Secretary Burwell of the Department of Health and Human Services joined Georgetown students to look back on her department and the Obama administration’s effort in healthcare reform. Focused on the Affordable Care Act, Burwell spoke on the challenges of building and then implementing the massive overhaul as well as other programs that she oversaw during her tenure.
The Exit Interview series centered on the political and policy legacy of President Barack Obama’s eight years in office. It brought a variety of senior officials and policy experts to Georgetown, exploring the administration’s successes, challenges, and regrets alike.
