Meet The GU Politics Spring 2020 Fellows Class

by GU Politics

The Institute of Politics and Public Service at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy is proud to introduce our Spring 2020 Fellows class!

  • Lily Adams: Communications Director, Kamala Harris for President; Former spokesperson & Iowa Communications Director, Hillary Clinton for President
  • Joe Crowley: Member of Congress (D-NY) 1999-2019, Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus
  • Kate Nocera: DC Bureau Chief, Buzzfeed News
  • John Rogers: Co-Founder, Torchlight Strategies; Former Executive Director, National Republican Congressional Committee
  • Robert Traynham: Head of Public Policy Affairs, Facebook; Former Deputy Chief of Staff, Senate Republican Conference

With diverse backgrounds, areas of expertise, and viewpoints, this cohort will inform students, challenge their beliefs, and open doors into the world of politics over the next few months. They’re excited to start hosting their weekly discussion groups in Healy G-18 starting in February, and getting to know you during their office hours, where you can build relationships that will expand your network, ask questions and seek advice, and chat about career paths or the latest developments in domestic and foreign policy.

Interested in diving in a bit deeper and working alongside the Fellows as part of a small cohort with your fellow Hoyas? Then we invite you to apply to join their Student Strategy Teams, where you’ll help with research, campus outreach, and brainstorming fresh ideas to make politics work better.

Please help us give our Fellows a warm welcome during our GU Politics Fellows Open House. This event is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the Fellows’ backgrounds, their current work, and what they have planned for you during the semester!

In addition to our Fellows program, we look forward to providing you with additional opportunities to stay (or get!) involved with GU Politics by:
