What criteria does a candidate need to meet to be invited? The forum will use the Republican National Committee’s polling and fundraising criteria for inclusion in the first GOP debate on Aug. 23:
Achieving at least 1% in three qualifying national polls
Achieving at least 1% in at least two national polls and two early state polls
Collecting donations from 40,000 individual contributors
Collecting 200 contributions from 20 or more states
Who can come? This event is open to Georgetown University students, staff and faculty.
Where can you tune in? The Forum will be livestreamed online by the AP and on GU Politics social media platforms.
