Nicolette Carrion (COL’24)
Student Associate - Career
Nicolette Carrion is a sophomore in the College pursuing a major in Government with a Minor in Music and Justice and Peace Studies. As a native from Long Island, New York, she has been recognized by the NYS Governor, her U.S. Congresswoman, and State Senator for her work representing Nassau County in the inaugural New York State Governor's Youth Council. Under the Council, she purses policy action in the interest of youth such as reformed and modernized Sex and Civic Education classes. Subsequently, she is also the Chair of the inaugural Nassau County Youth Council, leading the group to county-wide recognition coordinating events such as a Youth Town Hall with U.S. Senator Kirstin Gillibrand, and a pre-election Civic Engagement Series with Forbes 30 under 30 Speakers. As a County Vaccine Ambassador, she has been featured in a CNN article, on NBC, CBS, and ABC News, and other national and local publications.
Nicolette is also on the board of PBS’s The Youth Collective connected to a network of Gen-Z activists, a Racial Equity Ambassador for Young Long Island for Justice, and the Youth Member for Nassau Region PTA. At Georgetown, she is a member of the Social Responsibility Network, Political Action Chair for the NAACP, an Editorial Board member at The Hoya, and an active member of H*yas for Choice. This past summer, Nicolette interned for House Democratic Caucus Chairman Congressman Hakeem Jeffries on Capitol Hill. Nicolette is extremely passionate about making change in her community by empowering, educating, and representing her peers.
