3rd Annual Women of Color in Politics Networking Event
On February 18th, 2020, GU Politics hosted a workshop connecting students with professional women of color in political-related fields.
This networking event connected students with points of contact in various sectors of public service–from law, politics, and organizing, to media, journalism, and communication. Visiting professionals shared their experiences and personal stories. And through the invaluable perspective of these women of color in the workforce, participants had the opportunity to learn from the women who have faced challenges and overcome these obstacles to become successful figures in modern politics.
Students came away with guidance, personal contacts, and points of reference as they shape their own futures.
