Lacy Nelson
Director of Communications
Lacy Nelson is the Director of Communications at the Institute of Politics and Public Service. Lacy joins the center after working in the Office of Congresswoman Judy Chu (D-CA), where she served as Director of Communications for Congresswoman Chu's personal office as well as the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC).
Lacy is a communications strategist and master storyteller who has significant experience in the digital space having served in other roles on the Hill previously as Digital Director in the Office of Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Deputy Press Secretary in the Office of Senator Doug Jones (D-AL). She also recently served on Elect Katie Hobbs gubernatorial campaign in Arizona as Digital Director.
Lacy received her undergraduate degree in communications from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in journalism from Georgetown.
