Title: GU Politics Is Going To Iowa!

Ever wondered what the heck a caucus is? Curious how Iowa will shape the presidential race this February? Well, then you’re in luck… in line with our mission of pulling back the curtain on how politics really works, GU Politics won’t just be watching the caucus… we’re taking you there to participate!

From January 31 through February 4, 2020, GU Politics will take six students to Iowa to witness first-hand the energy of political campaigns on the ground. While there, students will visit campaign headquarters, meet with journalists and campaign staff, attend candidate events, hear from strategists and organizers, and more. Our #HoyasInIA will produce articles and videos for the GU Politics website and share their experiences live on our social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

GU Politics will cover the cost of housing, transportation, and some meals for students. This opportunity is limited to students who are currently enrolled at Georgetown.

Interested in becoming a part of #HoyasInIA? Fill out this application to let us know why you want to experience the Iowa caucus with GU Politics. Applications are now open and will close Friday, December 13 at 11:59 p.m. Interviews will take place the week of December 16.

Questions? Please contact GU Politics’ Office Manager Zack Royster (zr84@georgetown.edu).
