Claire Shipman, a reporter for ABC News, and Katty Kay, anchor of BBC World News America, are authors of a book called The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance -- What Women Should Know. In a shorter article titled "The Confidence Gap," they talk about how confidence matters as much as competence when it comes to being successful. Shipman and Kay have spent decades covering some of the most influential women in politics. Still, they identified a "confidence gap" even among these women. It's an important topic that has an impact on the future of women's leadership.
