Ruwa Romman was born in Amman, Jordan and moved to the United States at the age of 8. For the past 10 years, she has spent her time in Georgia engaging in interfaith and service work with organizations like the Islamic Speakers Bureau as a speaker and as President of Student Government and COEXIST Oglethorpe. Ruwa graduated Cum Laude, after completing an honors thesis, with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Oglethorpe University in 2015.

She is passionate about politics, civic engagement, and interfaith dialogue and hopes to empower as many people as possible to become more civically engaged. She worked as a Field Organizer for the Georgia Muslim Voter Project and served as Communications Director for the Council on American Islamic Relations Georgia Chapter (CAIR Georgia). Ruwa is pursuing her Masters in Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy.
