GU Politics, in partnership with the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, hosted a panel “Getting Started on your Campaign Career.”

The event brought two Hoyas back to the Hilltop-  Brian Bartlett (MPP ’10) who was the war room director for Romney for President in 2012 and senior advance representative for Governor Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign, and Chelsea Kammerer (C ’04), the former Midwest regional political director, Iowa general election director, and regional field director for Obama for America. The conversation was moderated  by GU Politics Executive Director Mo Elleithee (SFS ’94).

Brian, Chelsea, and Mo shared memories from the campaign trail, including the long hours, the thrill of victory, and agony of defeat.

They also gave students useful tips for not just getting involved in a campaign, but finding success while working in such a unique environment.
