Meet the GU Politics Fall 2018 Fellows!

by Mo Elleithee

Dear Friend of GU Politics,

The Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics) at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy is proud to introduce our Fall 2018 Fellows Class!

  • Erin Conaton (SFS ‘92): Former Under Secretary of the Air Force and former Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness
  • Ed Goeas: Republican pollster; President & CEO, The Tarrance Group
  • Suzanne Kianpour: Foreign Affairs & Political Journalist, BBC News
  • Tim Lim: Democratic digital strategist; Founder, Lim Consulting; former Partner, Bully Pulpit Interactive; Board Member, Run for Something
  • Josh Pitcock: Vice President Government Affairs, Oracle; former Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence

This Fellows class will be a big part of our fall semester! They’re looking forward to hosting their weekly discussion groups and getting to know YOU during their office hours, where you can hang out, ask questions, or just chat about career paths or the latest in political news. We’re pumped, they’re pumped, and we hope you are, too!

Interested in working alongside our Fellows? Apply to join a Student Strategy Team, where you’ll help with research, campus outreach, and come up with practical ideas to make politics work better. And be sure to mark your calendars for our Meet the Fellows Open House and McCourt School Happy Hour on Thursday, September 6th, to learn more about their backgrounds, what they have planned for the semester, and ask any questions you might have!

We hope you’ll consider getting involved with GU Politics this year by:

  • Attending our events and discussion groups
  • Joining our student leadership teams
  • Subscribing to our calendar so you never miss out on the action
  • Letting your friends and new students know about us by helping them sign up for updates
  • Following us on social media at @GUPolitics across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat
  • Visiting our office in the basement of Healy Hall in G-18 to get to know our team!

Enjoy the rest of your summer and keep an eye out for announcements about our programming and events for the new year!

Hoya Saxa,
