Naomi Lim joined Georgetown’s Institute of Politics and Public Service as co-chair of its inaugural Student Advisory Board. She is excited to be back for a second year on the Board. Prior to enrolling in the McCourt School’s Master of Public Policy program, she was a reporter for News Corp Australia in her hometown, Brisbane. During her short career, Naomi has worked for media organizations on four different continents, including BBC Parliament in London and the Beijing 2008 Olympic News Service.
Naomi is passionate about politics and public policy, and caught “Potomac Fever” when she interned with a US Congressman on Capitol Hill as an undergraduate in 2010. She returned to Washington, D.C., after she received Bachelor of Journalism and Laws degrees from The University of Queensland and volunteered on President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.
While undertaking her MPP, Naomi is simultaneously enrolled in The Australian National University’s Master of Laws (Government and Regulation) program. She is also a graduate of The Women’s Campaign School at Yale. When she does not have her nose in a book, you will probably find her at a bar updating her new Instagram cocktail blog, @limontwist.
