Matthew Buckwald (COL ’20)
Hailing from Trumbull, CT, Matt has taken advantage of the many public service opportunities in Washington, D.C. He has worked twice on Capitol Hill, held positions at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Citizenship & Immigration Services, as well as at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. He is currently pursuing a degree in Government with two minors in Arabic and Religion, Ethics, & World Affairs. On campus, he is a Junior Senator in the Georgetown University Student Association and a tour guide. As part of the Student Leadership Council, Matt will be working with and representing the GU Fellows Program.
