Committee: Career and Mentorship, Civic Engagement
Jake is a sophomore in the College, majoring in Government with a focus in International Relations. Originally from a small town in rural Appalachian Tennessee called Hampton, he has enjoyed the change of pace since coming to D.C.
Jake has been involved in GU Politics since stepping foot on campus with opportunities like the Special Operations Team, GU Votes, and Student Strategy Teams, among many other events the Institute has provided. He serves on the Executive Boards to the Georgetown University College Republicans as Director of Campus, and the GU Turning Point USA as Outreach Director. He also works at the McCourt School of Public Policy as a student assistant.
Georgetown’s spirit of ‘Women and Men for Others’ is what attracted Jake to the Hilltop, and he looks forward to serving alongside other Student Advisory Board members as well a future career in public service. When not busy with school or politics, Jake enjoys hiking, snowboarding, going to Yates, and binge watching Netflix shows.
