Reince Priebus Discusses the Future of American Politics at Georgetown

This past Tuesday, former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, in a conversation moderated by Mo Elleithee, Executive Director of GU Politics, and Katie Walsh Shields, former Trump White House Deputy Chief of Staff, discussed his thoughts on whether or not President Trump has redefined our politics moving forward.

Becoming involved in Republican politics as a teen, Mr. Priebus quickly gravitated toward the most fundamental tenets of campaign and party politics: an effective ground game and extensive data analytics. As he rose through the ranks of the Republican party, serving as Republican Party Chairman in Wisconsin, then Chair of the Republican National Committee, and most recently, White House Chief of Staff under President Trump, these core tenets guided his own philosophy, in addition to Republican politics.
