#HoyasInGA, a trip to the Peach State to observe the 2017 special election in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, offers Georgetown students a chance to witness first hand the energy of a political campaign. To participate in this experience, students must have full availability from the evening of March 30th through the evening of April 2nd.
While in Georgia, #HoyasInGA will:
– Volunteer on campaigns
– Take part in events
– Attend meetings with candidates (including Jon Ossoff, SFS ’09, and Georgia State Senator Judson Hill), campaign staffers, members of the media, and Georgia Democratic and Republican Party leaders
#HoyasInGA will also provide their friends and peers with a backstage look at this exciting race. Student will produce articles and videos for the GU Politics website, and share their experiences live on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
GU Politics is pleased to be able to cover the cost of housing, transportation, and meals for all #HoyasInGA.
This opportunity is limited to students who are currently enrolled at Georgetown.
Apply now! Applications are due no later than 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15th. Decisions will be made no later than Thursday, March 16th.
