Women of Color in Politics Networking Event 2019

Healey Family Student Center Social Room, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics) will host its second annual “Women of Color in Politics Networking Event” on Monday, February 25, 2019 in the Healey Family Student Center Social Room. ** Please note that you do not need to identify as a woman or as a person of color to attend this event!
This event will provide students with points of contact in various sectors of public service–from law, politics, and organizing, to media, journalism, and communication. Come mingle with experts from a variety of fields, learn about their journeys into politics, and ask them any questions you may have!
Students will be able to engage with our guests on a personal level. Through the invaluable perspective of women of color in the workforce, students will have the opportunity to get advice from the women who have faced challenges and overcome these obstacles to be successful figures in modern politics.
– 6:30PM – 7:00PM: Networkshop
In this “Networkshop,” students will gain the tips and tricks to successful networking!
– 7:00PM – 8:30PM: Women of Color Networking Event
Put what you learn in our “Networkshop” to practice with the networking event beginning at 7:00PM!
** The “Networkshop” is optional! Come for some or come for all–every Hoya is welcome!
This event is co-sponsored by:
– Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP)
