McCourt School Happy Hour with Fellows Ron Bonjean and Mike Dubke

5:45pm - 6:45pm

Join us on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5:45pm-6:45pm in the GU Politics Office (Healy G-18) for the the final GU Politics Fall 2017 GU Politics Happy Hour with Fellows Ron Bonjean and Mike Dubke. Throughout the semester McCourt is hosting the GU Politics Fellows for intimate conversations on a variety of topics and news of the day and this is the last one for Fall 2017. This is an opportunity for McCourt students to interact with the Fellows outside of the traditional discussion groups.

Ron Bonjean has over twenty years of public affairs and crisis communications experience and has managed some of the most significant business and policy debates affecting the lives of millions of Americans. He also remains the first person to serve as the lead spokesman in both the House of Representatives and the United States Senate. At the request of the White House, Bonjean served as the communications strategist for United States Supreme Court Nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch who was confirmed to the United States Senate. He also acted as a crisis management and strategic communications adviser for the Presidential Transition Team assisting cabinet nominations through the confirmation process.

Mike Dubke is a veteran communications operative and has been involved in local, state and federal politics, as well as issue and public policy advocacy since 1992. His experience has brought him a unique understanding of the relationship between media strategy and public policy development. Mike recently served as Assistant to the President for Communications in the White House. In that capacity, he oversaw a communications department that coordinated Congressional and Cabinet communications, Digital Strategy, Media Affairs, Production, Strategic communications as well and Surrogate operations.

We hope you can join us for this this event!
