Democratic Cloakroom, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Interested in how the Congress really works? Want a peek behind the scenes of the US Senate? Join GU Politics for a career-focused site visit on Friday, September 21st, 2018 from 10:00AM-1:00PM to meet with staff and tour the Democratic Cloakroom. You’ll learn about how Senate leadership work together to pass legislation and the importance of procedures to the inner workings of Capitol Hill.

The Democratic Cloakroom serves as a floor headquarters for the Democratic caucus. The main duties are to provide procedural advice to senators and staff as well as distribute up to date and accurate information on upcoming action on the Senate floor.

Space is limited so please RSVP here and Jennie Fay, GU Politics Director of Fellows and Career Programming, will be in touch by September 19th to confirm your space on the site visit.

Note: We will take the GUTS shuttle to the Law Center which departs at approximately 10:00AM. If you do not depart with the group, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the Capitol.
