The Institute of Politics and Public Service (GU Politics) at Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy will host Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) for a discussion entitled, Democracy Under Attack. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 16th at 7:00 PM in Old North 205 on Georgetown’s main campus. The event is co-sponsored by the Georgetown University College Democrats.
In a conversation moderated by Mo Elleithee, Executive Director of GU Politics, Senator Warner will speak about investigating the President, Russian meddling in our elections, and the need to defend our democracy. Senator Warner will take questions from the Georgetown community on some of the greatest challenges facing our political system today.
Warner was elected Governor of Virginia in 2001, and elected to the United States Senate in 2008. He was reelected to the Senate in 2014, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence.
