Congress 101: Getting The Most Out of Your Internship

Cawley Career Education Center, 10:00am - 2:00pm

RSVP

Join GU Politics, the Cawley Career Education Center, and the Office of Federal Relations for a workshop hosted by the Government Affairs Institute (GAI) on the nuts and bolts of how Capitol Hill works. This workshop will cover the types of staff roles on the Hill (eg. legislative aide vs. legislative correspondent), the kinds of offices (personal vs. committee), the type of work typically done by interns, Capitol Hill protocol and expectations, and how to make the most of your time on the Hill. This is for any students interning on the Hill this summer, interested in a Hill internship in the future, or any students working in policy/legislative work this summer. Get a leg up on your fellow interns and learn from the best about how Capitol Hill actually works!

Cosponsored with GAI, Cawley Career Education Center, and Office of Federal Relations
