Audrey Akers is a Graduate Assistant at Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service. She is studying for her Masters of Public Policy at the McCourt School of Public Policy. Audrey grew up in Lexington, KY and is still an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan.
In 2012 Audrey graduated from Southern Methodist University, where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Audrey comes to Georgetown after working as former First Lady Laura Bush’s Personal Aide, and as an Operations Coordinator at the 2016 Republican National Convention.
When she is not working at the Institute of Politics and Public Service or in class, Audrey enjoys playing tennis, cooking with friends, and walking her dog.
