Alec Camhi

COL '20

Alec is a sophomore in the College majoring in math and economics. A native of Stamford, Connecticut, he now lives just outside of Denver, Colorado.

He first became involved in politics by working on campaigns with his grandmother in fifth grade for then-Senator Obama and other local candidates. His passion for politics led him to volunteer and intern on a number of high-profile races, including Andrew Romanoff’s congressional campaign in Colorado’s 6th District in 2014, as well as the 2016 Colorado Democratic Coordinated Campaign for Hillary Clinton, Michael Bennet, and Morgan Carroll.

He was drawn to Georgetown largely because of its ideal location in Washington, D.C. As a part of GU Politics, Alec has participated in the Campaign Bootcamp: Battleground Virginia pre-orientation program, Special Operations, Research Squad, and Comms Crew. He is also a regular attendee of office hours, discussion groups, and events. Outside of GU Politics, Alec is involved in the Georgetown Bipartisan Coalition, GIVES, and the Carroll Round, an undergraduate economics research group.
